Breaking: Nathasha granted bail by High Court

Nathasha Edirisooriya who was arrested over her statements on the childhood of Prince Siddhartha was granted bail by Colombo High Court a short while ago.

Earlier today, she was remanded by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage until 19 July.

The High Court overruled the Fort Magistrate’s order and granted bail for the allegations filed under the ICCPR.

However, Edirisooriya will remain in the remand as there are three other allegationa filed under the Penal Code and Computer Crimes Act against her.
