LG Poll: Gvt withdraws “don’t accept deposits” letter sent to District Secretaries

The Government withdrew a letter sent to District Secretaries (who are gazette as Returning Officers) not to accept deposits from candidates of Local Government Election.

The letter was sent by Public Administration Ministry Secretary Neel Hapuhinna this morning and withdrew on the same day afternoon.

Hapuhinna said he issued letter according to the instructions of the Cabinet.
