Woman injured in bus shooting in Ambalantota

A woman was injured when an unidentified individual fired upon her while she was traveling on a bus. According to law enforcement, one of the two individuals on a motorcycle boarded the bus and discharged a firearm at the woman, who was en route from Ambalantota to Koggalla.

The 47-year-old woman, who sustained injuries, was promptly transported to Ambalantota Hospital for medical treatment.

Initial inquiries have indicated that the injured woman is the mother of a suspect linked to a shooting incident that occurred in July, where a man inside a residence in the Koggalla area was targeted.

The police are currently engaged in further investigations to apprehend the individuals responsible for the bus shooting incident.
