Two killed, Two injured in shooting outside Mannar Court

Two people have been killed and two others have been injured in a shooting outside the Mannar Magistrate’s Court this morning.

 Police Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manatunga stated that two unidentified gunmen on a scooter have opened fire on the victims using a pistol.

The injured individuals have been admitted to the Mannar Hospital for treatment, while hospital sources have confirmed that two victims have succumbed to their injuries before admission. 

Initial Police investigations have revealed that the victims were witnesses in a court case and have been on their way to attend a hearing. 

The Mannar Police is conducting further investigations.
