Teacher Suspended for Leaking Exam Papers in NCP

A teacher accused of leaking Grade 6 and 7 term test papers from government schools in the North-Central Province via social media has been suspended with immediate effect, according to the North-Central Province Education Secretary.

Prior to this, the entire Grade 11 term test in the province was suspended after all question papers were leaked on social media.

The issue came to light on 6 January, when the Sinhala Literature exam for Grade 11 was abruptly halted. Investigations revealed that tuition masters had shared several question papers in WhatsApp groups. In response, education authorities decided to cancel the entire Grade 11 term test to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
