Sextuplets born in SL For First Time

For the first time in Sri Lanka, a woman has given birth to sextuplets (3 boys and 3 girls).

The delivery had taken place at a private hospital in Colombo and Dr. Sankalpa Marasinghe was the leader of the medical team which conducted the operation.

The woman is a 31-year-old resident of the IDH area. The mother and infants are in good health.
