Releasing funds for LG Poll: “Gvt will honour SC’s order,” says State Minister of Finance

State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya today said the Government will honour Supreme Court”s interim order regarding providing funds for LG election and act accordingly.

The Supreme Court gave an Interim Order yesterday to Finance Ministry Secretary and the Attorney General, preventing them from withholding funds allocated for LG Poll 2023 from the budget.
