Ranil Wickremesinghe to Appear Before CID on Wednesday

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday, June 11, to provide a statement regarding the importation of substandard human immunoglobulin vaccines.

The appearance follows a complaint filed by former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who raised concerns about the import of pharmaceuticals during Wickremesinghe’s tenure. The investigation focuses on collective Cabinet responsibility during that period.

Several former ministers have already recorded statements in connection with the ongoing probe.
