One person injured in shooting at Ahungalla

One person has reportedly been injured in a shooting incident at Ahungalla Junction this morning (09).

The injured individual has been identified as the President of the Ahungalla Three-Wheeler Association and a resident of Bogahapitiya.

According to police, the injured person has been admitted to the Balapitiya Base Hospital for treatment.

Police Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manatunga stated that the shooting occurred at around 6:15 a.m. today, carried out by two unidentified gunmen who had arrived on a red scooter.

Ahungalla Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
