No overseas travel for Government MPs during budget debate

The Government has decided not to permit Ministers, State Ministers and Government MPs to travel overseas during Sitting days of Parliament while the budget debate is taking place.

They will be granted prermission to leave the country in case of urgent medical needs or very urgent work of the Government.

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena had submitted this proposal to the Cabinet and approval was granted on Monday (31 October).
