Manju Lalith Warnakumara takes oaths as MP

Sri Lanka Podujana Permauna’s (SLPP) Manju Lalith Warnakumara took oaths as a MP for the Kalutara District this morning (1).

He was sworn in before Deputy Speaker Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.

Warnakumara who received 46,361 preferential votes at the General Election 2020, is filling the seat left vacant following Sri Lankan Ambassador-designate to the USA Mahinda Samarasinghe’s resignation.

Samarasinghe resigned as an MP to take up the post of ambassador to the United States of America.
