Killing of a patient: three laptops with CCTV footages ‘stolen’ from NIMH

Three laptops were reportedly stolen from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Education Office, including the one that contained the CCTV footages of recent killing of a patient.

The incident occurred after the office was alleged broken into, and the laptops were taken. This office was also utilized by the Consultant Judicial Medical Officer of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, IDH, Angoda.

It’s alleged that the key to the office was used during the break-in.

Recently, lawyers representing the deceased individual who was allegedly beaten to death by Health Assistants of the NIMH, Angoda, informed the Additional Magistrate that the laptop containing crucial CCTV footage of the incident had gone missing on Thursday (24).
