Kamala Harris to kick off campaign with rally in swing state of Wisconsin
Kamala Harris will address voters for the first time since she secured enough delegate pledges to be the de facto Democratic contender for the US presidential election.
She’ll be speaking at a campaign rally in Milwaukee later, in the critical swing state of Wisconsin.
Last night, at her campaign headquarters in Delaware, Harris pledged to defeat Donald Trump, saying during her years as prosecutor, she dealt with his type all the time: a convicted felon, a predator and a con man.
In other news, the head of the US Secret Service Kimberly Cheatle says she plans to quit “with heavy heart” following security lapses in the run up to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
