Houses for artistes and low-income families in New Year

Construction of five housing projects for artistes and low-income families will be started at the beginning of 2023, by the Urban Development Authority (UDA).

The projects will be funded with a Chinese loan of 552 million Yuan.

The Ministry of Urban Development said ,996 housing units will be constructed under these projects and1,888 houses will be constructed for low-income families and 108 houses for artistes.

The houses for low-income families will be constructed in Peliyagoda, Maharagama, Moratuwa and Dematagoda and the houses for artistes will be located in Kottawa.
