Gas explosions: Prez appoints 8 member committee

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed a 8 member committee to probe into recent chain of explosions related to gas leaks.

The committee is expected to submit a report to the President within 2 weeks.

Meanwhile, Parliament’s Special Consultative Committee will also meet to discuss the matter tomorrow (1) at 9.00 a.m.. The representatives of gas companies were also ordered to appear before the committee.
