Gas explosions: Gas companies to be summoned to Parliament

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene today (30) said that a Special Consultative Committe will be
summoned tomorrow (1 November) to discuss about recent chain of explosiona happened due to gas leaks.

This step is taken following requests of MPs while there is also a consideration to appoint a Parliamentary Select Committee on the matter as well.

The Speaker said that everyone including party leaders, officials of CAA and representatives of Litro and LAUGFS Gas must be present in Parliament for the special meeting.
