First IMF installment within 2 weeks: Siyambalapitiya

The first installment of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan will be granted within next two weeks, State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said.

Speaking to the media, Siyambalapitiya said it is a remarkable achievement for the country when it is suffering a massive economic crisis.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe today said in Parliament that China has assured in writing that it will assist Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring process.
