Couple arrested over death of a teenage girl in Kalutara

A couple has been arrested over the death of 16-year-old girl whose body was found naked near the railway line behind a hotel on the main street of Galle Road in Kalutara.

According to the Police the deceased was a residence of Nagoda, Kalutara.

Initial investigations have revealed that the girl came to the hotel with another woman and two men. They had booked two rooms in the hotel. The other woman and a man had left the hotel few hours later and the person who was with the deceased had also left later.

Investigations are underway to arrest the person who was with the girl and to determine whether the death is a homicide.
