Cigarette and Liquor Prices to Increase from 11 January

The Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC) has announced a price hike on cigarettes starting 11 January, following an increase in the Excise Duty imposed on tobacco products. The price adjustment will apply across four categories, with an increase of Rs. 5 to Rs. 10 per cigarette.

Meanwhile, the prices of liquor are also set to rise by approximately 6% from tomorrow, driven by an increase in the excise duty on alcoholic beverages.
