Renowned musician Kasun Kalhara today (20) said he would remove himself from music concert ‘Rangahala’ scheduled to be held at Water’s Edge on 28 July.
“It has come to my knowledge that the Rangahala concert is to be conducted in a manner contrary to the original agreement I had with the organisers of the event.
As such, I can’t in good conscience continue to take part in this concert,” he said in a statement posted on Facebook.
“I proposed to the organisers that they proceed with the original plan that was conveyed to me, but they refused and as a result I made a decision to remove myself from the programme.
I felt the need to publicly state my decision in order to inform any fans of mine who have purchased tickets expecting to see me perform,” he said.
