700,000 kg of paddy gone missing from Kurunegala storages

The Chairman of the Paddy Marketing Board (PMB) has disclosed that approximately 700,000 kg of paddy stocks in two paddy storage facilities in Kurunegala have gone missing.

These stocks valued at approximately Rs. 650 – 700 million, have gone missing from two government-owned paddy storage facilities in Kurunegala.

Additionally, two officers have been suspended in relation to this incident, the Chairman said.
