69 cement bags seized in STF operation

Sixty nine (69) cement bags weighing 50 kg each had been seized in a STF operation yesterday (27), Ceylon Today reported.

Accordingly, officers of the Gonahena STF had seized this stock that kept to be sold at a higher price.

The STF officers arrested the shop owner who allegedly sold a bag of cement at an increased price between Rs 200 and Rs 500, in violation of the certified price.
